Affecting Others with Thought Energy

Articles - Topics covered in The Sage Age

Thought energy not only affects our own well-being, it also radiates from us much like a broadcast antenna and affects those around us.

An entire chapter in The Sage Age deals with this subject. The two-part article series is available on the main Sage Age site.

In this second article, we focus on how former NASA scientist and Hands of Light author Barbara Brennan describes the behavior of The Human Energy Field. We'll also look at the work of clairvoyant and Theosophist Annie Besant as well as one of Dr. Emoto's lesser known experiments with rice jars.

How have you experienced someone else's thought energy affecting you?

Are Thoughts Real Things?

Articles - Topics covered in The Sage Age

I've been enjoying a rather spritied discussion on the Shift in Action site, which is hosted by the Institute of Noetic Sciences. (The post is under the title Mind Consciousness Connection). The dialogue is about whether thoughts are real things and whether they actually have any affect on us directly.

An entire chapter in The Sage Age deals with this subject. The first of a two-part article series is available on the main Sage Age site. The first deals with thought-forms from the intuitive perspective. Around the turn of the twentieth century, Annie Besant and Charles W. Leadbeater, both Theosophists and clairvoyants, wrote a small book titled Thought-Forms. In it, they described thought as an “elemental essence." Read more on where this thought-form energy resides and about how it affects us and others.

Do you think thoughts are real things and how do you see them affect yourself and others?

The Living Matrix Debuts in London

Where science, psychology, and psi events meet

A new film, The Living Matrix – The Science of Healing, features today’s leading frontier science researchers, psychologists, and holistic practitioners to view the body and healing using energetic information-based medicine methods.

The documentary was produced by Greg Becker and Harry Massey and was inspired by Becker’s seven-year struggle with chronic fatigue syndrome that left him bedridden. His road to recovery began when he met doctor of Chinese medicine Peter Fraser, who combines physics, biology and Eastern medicine into a treatment known as body-field therapy.

In part, the movie examines the role of quantum physics on biomechanical functions at the cellular level and finds that “our cells are senders and receivers of information, controlling our health in ways we never imagined.” It also address the scientific understanding of the placebo effect and what seem to be miracle cures.

The film features Dr. Fraser, cellular biologist Dr. Bruce Lipton, healer Dr. Eric Pearl, biophysicist Dr. James Oschmann, Director of Research at Institute of HeartMath Dr. Rollin McCraty, and others.

Folks facing health challenges also share their stories of using information-based therapies to treat chronic fatigue syndrome, an inoperable brain tumor, and cerebral palsy.

The Living Matrix premiered in London to a sold-out crowd and was followed by “The Science of Healing Conference” where participants were treated to workshops by presenters in the movie.

The DVD was released on March 13th, 2009 and is available on the site’s store.

The Body's Quantum Antenna System

Articles - Topics covered in The Sage Age
Quantum theories have been applied to every discipline of the physical sciences because they take into consideration one very important aspect of a system, and that is group cooperation. This is especially important to biology because cells and molecules are not isolated from one another in the body. They act and react together in a way that supports the entire system.

The Transforming Power of Music

Jose Antonio Abreu is the charismatic founder of a youth orchestra system in Venezuela. This short video on TED Talks clearly shows the power of music to transform the lives of individuals, communities, and an entire country. http://www.ted.com/talks/jose_abreu_on_kids_transformed_by_music.html

I am disheartened anytime I hear of federal, state, or local governments in the U.S. cutting back on "extra" school programs such as music as if they are any less important than other classes. When students study world history, geography, or civics they are introduced to other cultures that are defined by their language, dress, art, music, and writing. In fact, the greatest testaments to some ancient cultures are the writings and art that survived the demise of their civilization.

There is a reason why these modes of expression are called "the humanities." They are intrinsic to the nature of what it is to be human.

A reply to Aristotle that would make Plato proud

Connections highlights interesting and delightful folks I'm meeting along The Sage Age journey.

My Twitter friend Dana Ben-Yehuda has delivered perhaps the best response I've ever seen to an idea presented by Aristotle.

My Twitter post was: “Aristotle stated all things fell to Earth because all was made of earthly substances and were attracted to their natural home.”

Dana's response was: "Does this mean that what we call death is really just that our spirit is attracted to its natural home and falls up?"

Besides her keen wit, Dana's reply also alludes to a disagreement between Plato and Aristotle. The two great philosophers are pictured here in a partial of the painting by Raphael, with Plato on the left and Aristotle on the right. The way their hands are pointing indicates the difference in their philosophies. Plato's famous notion of the Realm of Ideas and the templates of the Forms was transcendent and mystical in nature. Aristotle's views were based in realism and observation of actual events.

Plato's suggestion that the repository of the Immutable Forms being transcendent was revisited in more modern times by Carl Jung and most recently by Morphic Fields expressed in Rupert Sheldrake's book The Presence of the Past.

The painting is generally called "The School of Athens", which was founded by Plato. Aristotle attended this school and often argued with Plato and criticized his writings. Aristotle's own writings on ethics, physics, and metaphysics remained the foundation of the Church's scientific attitude until the European Renaissance.

Is the Brain Really Like a Computer or Hologram?

Discover why the brain operates like a computer and a hologram and how that idea is changing to a quantum model.

In modern times, the language used to describe the brain has been based on the current structural or mechanical information processing paradigm of the era. Since the last half of the twentieth century, this dual paradigm has been the computer and the hologram. That way of thinking is quickly evolving to a quantum computer model because it can rapidly process multiple streams of data to be delivered in a parallel fashion. Although it is still a mechanical viewpoint, it is a significant shift in theory.

Connections - Dr. Amit Goswami

Connections highlights interesting and delightful folks I'm meeting along The Sage Age journey.

I’m thrilled that theoretical quantum physicist, author, and visionary Dr. Amit Goswami has joined the Twitter social media site. He has appeared in such movies as “What the Bleep do We Know?!?” and “The Dalai Lama Renaissance”. He is currently working on his own documentary, “The Quantum Activist” that is now in post-production. In it he shares his vision of the unlimited potential of consciousness as the ground of all being while never straying from the rigors of quantum mechanics. “The Quantum Activist” tells the story of a man who challenges us to rethink our very notions of existence and reality, with a force and scope not felt since Einstein.”

With this documentary, Dr. Goswami “demonstrates how our mistaken views of reality have led to our current environmental, social, economic and spiritual crisis; as well as the means of correcting these errors.” And he challenges each one of us to take responsibility for how we are creating this reality.

For more information on “The Quantum Activist” and to watch a movie trailer, visit http://quantumactivist.com/ While you are there, be sure to see his current lecture schedule.

Dr. Amit Goswami can be found on Twitter as @quantumactivist The production team for the documentary is also on Twitter as @bluedot_
